Friendship across the miles, and the years

True friends won't grow apart even if they don't talk every day

One of the biggest joys in my life is catching up with family and friends.  Truthfully for many of us this normally involves travel.

I am already looking forward to Christmas when I can catch up in person.  However I really do rely on technology to keep in touch all the time.  Even though I have been living in Ireland for almost 18 years now, I find that time simply melts away and we are nattering away. like it was only yesterday that we saw each other last.

I do value my friends and work hard to keep contact.  Distance and the pressures of daily life sometimes get in the way.  I am grateful to be in contact with friends that I have had since I was five!

I have moved around a lot in the last 18 years.  The big move from South Africa, the move to Westport, the move back to Galway and then another move to another town.  At every stage of my life I have made new friends.  I don’t always have time to talk every day, but I do value my friends.

Today’s quote simply says, true friends won’t grow apart if they don’t talk every day.  I am so glad about that.

Introducing Paperless Post

I recently found out about a fabulous online service.  Paperless Post is the easiest app to use and is wonderful for creating all sorts of ‘paperless’ post, but with the beauty of traditional post.  I will be using the app for all sorts of occassions from invitations to my Christmas tea at my Mum’s (check your email shortly), thank you cards, and simply any type of card, with a matching ‘paperless’ envelope.  It is a fab service that will even track your replies.

I would love to take this a little further and share with you, so please take a moment to send me an email – kerryjmanning@gmail.com, and I promise to send you a wonderful Paperless Post item.

Looking forward to being in touch and keeping up with friends old and new.

Thanks for reading.

Kerry

There was a huge part of me fighting against turning anything like fifty. It happens though and there is nothing we can do to fight it. Well we can’t fight the chronology of years and minutes ticking by but we can stay fabulous. I try to be fabulous, despite having a few things I am fighting against like RA, Diabetes and Pernicious Anaemia. This blog is simply about me embracing life. Food, make-up, fashion and more. My trials and tribulations. I hope you enjoy!
