A delightful Romcom that made me seriously nostalgic

I did, Did I – by the wonderful Luna Hayes is a debut romance novel set in my native South Africa.  This wondeful cute story about Hannah and Siris who bond over a shared love of Pizza and more. Hannah needs a new home as her parents are selling up. Siris is tired of living with the guys and they both arrive at a viewing for the perfect solution and realise that they went to school together.  But, the landlord wants to rent to a couple.  It is two bedrooms after all, and it would be half the rent if they shared. The story unfolds with lots of twists and turns as they both deal with those curveballs that life is determined to throw at us.  Hannah finds herself falling in love with the outdoors and the opportunity to grow things, which ties in perfectly with Siris and his food truck business, bent on serving the best quality ingredients. If you enjoy a good romcom this is definitely for you.  Luna takes us on a journey that evokes all sorts of emotions and definitely made me want to seek out some pizza. The novel really takes me back to my own childhood growing up in South Africa with mentions of all sorts of things that provoke memories.  However this love story transcends borders and is a delightful read. A little bit about the writing community …

As you all know I am writing books myself, but I am not quite as brave as the wonderful Luna yet.  We met in a really supportive writing community run by published author Anita Faulkner.  Anita is the best cheerleader and encourages us to reach for our dreams.  I am so happy to be part of Luna’s dream day with the blog post, and I am sure my fellow writers will do the same for me soon. Let me know what you are reading this January.  I am posting my reads as I go over on Instagram @fabulouskerry if you want to follow along.

Kerry

There was a huge part of me fighting against turning anything like fifty. It happens though and there is nothing we can do to fight it. Well we can’t fight the chronology of years and minutes ticking by but we can stay fabulous. I try to be fabulous, despite having a few things I am fighting against like RA, Diabetes and Pernicious Anaemia. This blog is simply about me embracing life. Food, make-up, fashion and more. My trials and tribulations. I hope you enjoy!
